EJOM project officially launched

EJOM project officially launched

The Value Chain Development and Youth Employment (OYEM) project was officially launched on 10 April in the presence of 2,400 young people who are enrolled in the project’s first training cohorts.

During the event, several dignitaries, including the Malinese Minister of Employment and Vocational Training, a representative from the European Union, the ambassador of the Netherlands and the Mayor of District IV, delivered messages of congratulations and encouragement.

A presentation was given on the opportunities that the project provides in the Malinese environment and the dangers that young people who migrate face during their journey.

A representative of the young people thanked the Government of Mali, the implementing partners and the donor. He also reassured the dignitaries of the commitment that new trainees have to carry out complete the training programme and start their new careers.

At the end the ceremony, the Minister officially launched the training activities while encouraging young people to make the most of this opportunity.
