At SNV, we believe that systemic change is only possible through deep-rooted collaboration. Our work across the agrifood, energy, and water sectors is powered by a diverse ecosystem of partners who share our commitment to a more equitable world.
By bridging the gap between local expertise and global resources, we transform ambitious goals into measurable progress for the communities we serve. This directory lists the institutional donors, national governments, philanthropic foundations, and private-sector leaders whose trust and investment enable us to scale innovations across 20+ countries. Together, we are not just funding projects; we are strengthening local systems to tackle poverty and climate change at their roots.

Our approach to global stewardship
With over 50 years of experience facilitating global development, SNV understands that transparency is the foundation of every successful partnership. We act as responsible stewards of the funds entrusted to us, remaining strictly accountable to the millions of people we serve across more than 20 countries in Africa and Asia.
Global Standards and Ethical Conduct
Our operations are governed by a rigorous set of procedures designed to exceed donor expectations in project management and quality assurance:
Evidence-based quality: Our Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation (PME) approach follows a clearly articulated cycle of analysis, reflection, and iteration. This allows our teams to understand exactly what is working and why, enabling us to tailor solutions to complex local contexts while maintaining full transparency.
Global standards: As an official signatory to the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), we align our strategies with ten universal principles covering human rights, labor, the environment, and anti-corruption.
Environmental responsibility: In June 2024, we launched our Carbon Reduction Strategy, targeting a 13% absolute emissions reduction by 2030 (relative to our 2023 baseline) through improvements in travel management and sustainable procurement.
Zero Tolerance and Safeguarding
Integrity is non-negotiable. SNV enforces a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding fraud, harassment, and any form of misconduct. Through our comprehensive Code of Conduct and specialised procedures for Child Protection and Protection from Sexual Exploitation, Abuse, and Harassment (PSEAH), we prioritise a survivor-centred approach and the safety of all stakeholders. Our commitment extends to the highest levels of supply chain integrity, as detailed in our Modern Slavery and Anti-Human Trafficking statement.
