Training of public sector energy agents on GIS-based electrification planning and spatial data infrastructure
From July 7 to 17 2020, an online training for public sector energy agents started in Cotonou.
This training covers the introduction to electrification planning based on the Geospatial Information System (GIS) and the spatial data infrastructure.
This online coaching is part of a mission that the Kartoza-SNV-KTH consortium fulfills for the Representation of the World Bank in Benin.
The objective is to strengthen the capacities of government actors in the electricity sector as Benin is currently developing its National Electrification Strategy (NES) as part of the Electricity Services Improvement Project (ESIP-P161015)
The online coaching brings together 31 executives from the General Directorate of Energy Resources (DGRE), the Beninese Electric Energy Company (SBEE), the Beninese Agency for Rural Electrification and Energy Management (ABERME), the Electricity Regulatory Authority and the Energy Services Improvement Project (PASE) divided into two groups
