Drought affected cattle farmers gain from RARP match-funding

Southern Africa is experiencing a period of drought due to El Nino and this is seriously affecting the health and value of the cattle stocks of smallholder cattle farmers. An abattoir established with funds from a RARP grant-matching facility is alleviating the problem by providing credit facilities to farmers so they can purchase cattle feed to rehabilitate their cattle and produce higher quality meat.
