  • Abstract

Maize is Cambodia’s third most important annual crop, with rising demand driven by the feed industry and regional market opportunities. Yet, smallholder maize farmers face growing climate risks, drought, flooding, pests, and declining soil fertility. In this learning brief, SNV and its partners highlight strategies developed under the ADB-funded TA 6914-CAM project.

The manual introduces practical training modules to build the climate resilience of maize farmers, including improved seed use, nutrient and pest management, economic decision-making, and market linkages. This approach is not only vital for safeguarding farmer livelihoods but also for strengthening Cambodia’s domestic feed supply and reducing import reliance.
