Through the implementation of projects, advisory services, knowledge networks and support for advocacy, SNV strengthens the capacity of communities, businesses and local organisations, enabling an autonomous, more efficient poverty reduction.
SNV in Niger mainly focuses on the agriculture/livestock and energy sectors, which face global challenges that strongly limit the opportunities of people living in poverty. SNV is proud to support Niger in a major programme to digitalise agriculture and livestock. Our projects mobilise a network of targeted partnerships to deliver a powerful impact, from grassroots community organisations, civil society organisations and research institutes to local authorities, decentralised technical service providers, and various networks and platforms.
SNV's close collaboration with the sectoral ministries and the attached services ensures a strong institutional anchoring for the interventions. SNV in Niger has strong expertise in market-centric approaches, which helps scale up high-impact interventions and partnerships with the private sector. It also provides considerable support to agricultural enterprises along the value chain.
