Note on end of SNV affiliation with DevWorks (previously known as SNV USA)
SNV USA rebranded itself to DevWorks in February 2020. With this rebranding, the exclusive affiliation of SNV and SNV USA is coming to an end.
Over the past decade SNV Netherlands Development Organisation has invested in the establishment and growth of SNV USA , a District of Columbia USA not-for-profit corporation (501c3), as a closely affiliated organisation. Our aim was to access US government financing to jointly increase our impact in fighting poverty. Our close affiliation with SNV USA was based on an agreement that SNV USA worked exclusively in partnership with SNV Netherlands Development Organisation. SNV country teams have all responsibility for technical performance in this intertwined modus operandi with SNV USA focusing on contract administration.
We are proud that SNV USA/SNV has successfully built a considerable USAID financed portfolio based on the extensive on the ground implementation capacity and quality track record of SNV Netherlands Development Organisation on WASH, Agriculture and Energy in Africa, Asia and Latin America.
Our overarching agreement with DevWorks/SNV USA is coming to an end on the 1st of October 2020. Many of our current joint projects with DevWorks/SNV USA end before that date. SNV intends to continue working with DevWorks/SNV USA under the original affiliated SNV USA/SNV set-up on these projects. We have agreed to not extend these projects with DevWorks/SNV USA. For projects ending after October 1, 2020, we are currently working with DevWorks/SNV USA on a transfer of responsibilities.
SNV will continue to pursue USAID and other USG financing directly, as a prime contractor or through sub-contracts with various US-based organisations.
We have been informed that DevWorks/SNV USA intends to continue with the 501c3 entity we helped establish under the new brand name DevWorks International. Both parties agree that DevWorks/SNV USA is not a representative of SNV. DevWorks will not use any SNV branding outside our current joint projects. It will not be able to use project references from SNV Netherlands Development Organisation.
We wish DevWorks and our many colleagues with whom we have worked in unison the best in their new endeavour.
We look forward to enhancing our impact in agriculture, energy and WASH sectors through our US government financed projects.
