The Energising Development (EnDev) Programme is an energy access partnership currently financed by six donor countries – the Netherlands, Germany, Norway, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and Sweden.

SNV Kenya supports the implementation of the EnDev programme in collaboration with GIZ. The overall objective of the EnDev Kenya project is to contribute to the Kenya’s SE4All initiative whose goal is to achieve 100% universal access to modern energy services by 2030 for both cooking and electricity.

Phase III of the EnDev Kenya project is structured into three components focused on productive use solar, clean cooking, and energy access in refugee settings. SNV invites proposals from interested parties under the three components:

Request For Proposals - Market Development Support For Distributors Of Cookstoves For Use By Households

SNV Netherlands Development Organisation is implementing a cookstoves results based finance (Cookstoves RBF) facility to promote market development for the distributors of industrially made stoves. The project will provide financial support in the form of financial incentives payable to the distributors of pre-approved stoves to reward successful implementation based on the number of stoves sold to households. Application deadline for the RBF is 15 January 2020.

Request For Proposals - Partnership With Solar Distributors To Establish And Strengthen Supply And Distribution Of Quality Solar Powered Systems For Productive Use In Business Settings.

Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and SNV Netherlands Development Organisation in Kenya hereby invite eligible organizations to submit their expression of interest (EoI), to participate as a beneficiary of project support within EnDev Phase III towards enhancing the supply, distribution and access of solar powered systems for productive use in business settings. Productive use entails solar solutions (both electrical and thermal solutions) for income generation for small scale businesses (both individual and enterprise set-up).

Request For Proposals - Partnership With Solar And Stoves Distributors In Promotion Of Solar Products And Clean Cooking Solutions For Households, Productive Use In Business Settings And Social Institutions In Refugee Settings

SNV Netherlands Development Organisation is implementing the Market Based Energy Access Project II (MBEA II). MBEA II focuses on market based approaches to energy access within Kakuma refugee camp as well as the host community. MBEA II will promote supply, distribution and use of clean cooking and solar powered solutions through a mix of market based and social approaches. The project seeks partnerships to promote solar products and clean cooking solutions for households, productive use in business settings and social institutions in Kakuma refugee camp and the host community.
